Bradley James Ziehr

Bradley James Ziehr, 59, of Stony Plain, AB passed away suddenly on October 21, 2021, after a motor vehicle accident. This loss was completely unexpected leaving family and friends shocked and deeply saddened. He will be truly missed in so many ways.

Brad was born in 1962 to Ewald and Fay Ziehr in Parkland County where he grew up on the family farm, going to school at Memorial, and ultimately running the farm. Brad’s passion was farming and family, both of which were the center of his life.

In 1985, Brad met the love of his life, Kathy, and after a 5 year courtship married in 1990. They went on to have 4 children, James (Reo), Colton, Tanner and Daniel.

Brad is survived by both of his parents, Ewald and Fay, and his brother, Todd and predeceased by his older brother, Kevin.

Brad’s passions in life were hunting, fishing and spending time with friends. Brad had a contagious, larger than life personality and was instantly liked by all who met him. Brad had the gift of making everyone feel like family. He constantly made it a point to check in on people and was always a source of positivity. His friends describe Brad as nothing but kind, loving, caring, warm, and wonderful. But really, he will be missed more than words can say.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, October 29 at Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502 44 Avenue, Stony Plain from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. with a maximum of 50 people attending at one time.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private family service will take place on Friday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m., with live-streaming available through www.parklandfuneralservices.com .

In lieu of other tributes, donations in Brad's memory may be made to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation: 800 College Plaza, 8215 - 112 Street, Edmonton, AB T6G 2C8.
