Darcy will always be remembered for her sense of humor and quick wit, stubbornness, competitiveness, and her dislike of green beans.
Darcy was a connoisseur of Snapple Iced Tea, a world-renowned Indian leg wrestler and had a PhD in sarcasm. She could hold an entire conversation by only using movie quotes or song lyrics. She was quite the comedian even as a child. She even wore grandma’s false teeth just to make us laugh.
When Darcy was younger she spread fear throughout elementary schools due to her penchant for kicking boys with her cowboy boots. Many of them still have the physical and emotional scars to prove it.
Darcy was the fearless leader of her family. She was a “mama bear”, who would rip you apart if you harmed her children or her husband in any way. If someone was boneheaded enough to “poke the bear” they had better of been able to out run her.
Darcy was a dedicated wife and mother. She married the love of her life, Riel, at 17. She passed away still believing that she married the world’s sexiest man, and no one was ever brave enough to argue with her. Darcy loved and adored her boys Morgan and Mason. She was proud of the young men that they’ve become.
Darcy lived a life full of love. She came into this world born into the loving hands of her parents, and left embraced in the loving arms of her husband. Darcy will be missed and we are so blessed to have had her in our lives.
Family and friends are invited to join us as we celebrate the life Darcy on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Heritage Park (5100 41 Ave, Stony Plain, AB) in the Spruce Grove Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darcy's name to an Alberta Health Services foundation of your choice.
