Darrell Brian Schoepp

Darrell was born to Lewis and Lorna Schoepp on July 4, 1959 in Edmonton, AB. He was baptized on August 9, 1959 at Zion Lutheran Church at Golden Spike, AB. Later on in his adult life, Darrell attended St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Stony Plain , AB with his parents. Darrell was the oldest of four children including three sisters. He was born and raised on a dairy farm nine miles south of Spruce Grove, AB. Darrell attended the Winnifred Stuart School from the age of 12 to 17 where he enjoyed music class with many of his friends. Life on the farm was full of adventure for Darrell where he was taught by his sisters at a young age to ride a two wheel bicycle. Darrell enjoyed the swing set and was very good at holding the end of the skip rope while his sisters skipped.He was very skilled at bouncing a ball and catching it with only one hand! Both Sport, Champ and Skippy the family dogs, were faithfully followed by Darrell all over the barnyard as he truly enjoyed all the farm animals. Darrell spent many hours each summer with his mom hauling grain and keeping her company.

The three sisters and their father played many musical instruments while Darrell jammed on dad’sguitar.He spent hours with his father watching hockey, football and wrestling. The wrestling at home got a little out of hand when Darrell’s three brothers-in-law would play wrestle with him until mom reeled them in!

Spring of 2011 Darrell moved into a Family Support Home with Cathie and her family near Stony Plain, AB. Cathie and her family instantly became an extended family of Darrell as they loved and cared for him, filling his days with many meaningful activities.
