Dena-Marie DeFord, born March 5, 1968, was the beloved daughter of Simone and Duane DeFord, the devoted spouse of the late Mike McAloon, and a caring sister to Dean DeFord. She was a proud mother to her three children—daughter Cortney, son Damian, and her late son Chad. She was also a loving stepmother to Tim Michaud and a cherished grandmother to her three grandchildren: Kaige, Kyrah, and Kaden.
Dena was a diamond in the rough—radiant, resilient, and unforgettable. Her laughter was infectious, her beauty effortless, and her tenacity unmatched. She loved with her whole heart and never hesitated to stand up for what she believed was right.
She found joy in sunflowers, animals, and classic Rock ’n’ Roll—though she never passed up the chance to secretly jam out to Eminem. Summers were spent with the wind on her face as she rode her motorcycle; autumns were for hunting and being outdoors with her dad or anyone who needed an extra set of hands. But her favorite season, without question, was Christmas. She poured her heart into making it magical—decking the halls with over-the-top decorations, filling the house with music, and ensuring everyone around her felt the spirit of the season.
Dena will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by every person whose life she touched. Her presence left an imprint that will never fade.
