Donald Christopher Smith

1937 - 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Donald Smith of Stony Plain, AB announce his passing on August 8, 2023, at the age of 85 years.

Donald will be remembered for his love of traveling with Gloria, in particular to a tropical destination. He also spent many times watching hockey and being involved as the manager of the local Stony Plain Eagles hockey team.

Donald will forever be loved and remembered by his spouse and best friend of 58 years Gloria; his son Brady (Theresa); his daughter Deanna; his grandchildren: Braydon (Nicole), Dayton, and Layla as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Margaret & Thomas and by his siblings: Bob and Rose.

A Funeral Service will be held for Donald at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church of Golden Spike, 51202 RR 274 Parkland County, AB T7Y 3H4.
