Elizabeth Anne Temple

Heaven has welcomed a new choir member! It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Elizabeth Anne Temple (nee Hodge) on December 16, 2020 in Stony Plain, Alberta at the age of 87 years. Elizabeth is survived by her husband Alvin Temple, her six children: Stephen Bechtel (Brenda), Michael Bechtel (Karen), Catherine Bechtel (Dale Evert), Daniel Bechtel (Beverly), Anita Bear (Brian) & Andrew Bechtel (Vicki), and numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren. Elizabeth was predeceased by her first husband George Bechtel, stepdaughter Sarah Temple, her parents Richard and Elizabeth Hodge, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

This is a time of both sadness and celebration. It is a time to remember the caring woman that she was. She took great pride in her children, and in her last years at the Stony Plain Care Centre expressed great joy in her family to the staff at the facility. She lived a long life and we are blessed to have had her with us for over 87 years. Mom always was soft spoken and never said a harsh word to anyone and was loved by many. Her faith in Jesus Christ sustained her throughout her life.

The Temple and Bechtel families would like to thank the staff at the Stony Plain Care Centre for the care and kindness they showed Elizabeth during her last years and especially her last days. The care provided was above reproach and greatly appreciated.

A private family celebration of life is to be held at Parkland Funeral Services Chapel, Stony Plain, AB with Pastor Michael Keith officiating. Interment is to be held at a later date. The Honorary Pallbearers will be all her children, children’s spouses, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
