Heather Root

Mrs. Heather Root of Lethbridge, AB passed away at the age of 90 years.

Heather will be lovingly missed by her 2 sons Thornton (Jenny) and Neville (Tracey); 9 grandchildren: Jeffery (Candace), Tessa (Stephanie), Steven (Michaela), Philip (Emily), A.J. (Kirsten), Chet (Holly), Levi (Hayley), Sara, & Cameron; 9 great-grandchildren: Olivia, Ayden, Conner, Alison, Evelynn, Thealynn, Astrid, Kailer & Sophia; her brother Rodney Steel, many truly loved nieces and nephews and her extensive Eastern Star family.

Heather was predeceased by the love of her life George Charles Root just weeks before their 50th anniversary; her parents George & Olive Steel; her siblings Jean & Garth and her great-grandson Theo.

Heather will be greatly missed by her Care Home Family at Edith Cavell Care Centre. Words can never express our gratitude and love for the fabulous team that tended to Moms needs the last 4 years.

Viewing and greeting the family will be held at 10:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 400 McLeod Avenue, Spruce Grove, AB, T7X 2G2. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am with a light luncheon to follow.

Interment will begin at 2:00pm in Westlawn Cemetery, 10132 163 Street NW, Edmonton, AB, T5P 4X3.
