John R Turner

On April 19, 2025, John R. Turner of Alberta Beach passed away with loved ones at his bedside, at the age of 69 years.

He is lovingly remembered by his longtime partner, Cynthia Henituik of Spruce Grove; his brother, Sandy (Kate) Turner of Calgary; his children: Ginny Turner of Whitecourt and Dylon Turner of Vancouver; his grandchildren: Dominic Flasha and Anthony Flasha of Whitecourt; and his nieces: Stephanie Wilson and Andrea Turner of Calgary.

John was a committed, independent, and stalwart man. He always enjoyed the seasonal visitations of the various wildlife on his property—except for the squirrels, of course. He was always diligently tending to the various duties and projects he undertook, with an inexhaustible curiosity for how things worked. His creative problem-solving inspired us all to do the same. In years past, he shared his love for fishing and drag racing with family and friends.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
