Mario Yvon Levesque

Mario Yvon Levesque, 64, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 peacefully in his home with his family by his side. Mario was a loving and dedicated husband, son, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Nellie, of 37 celebrated years; his daughters Renée (Ian) and Dominique (Kaveh); his sons, Jonathan (Mandy) and André; his two grandchildren Isabel and Hendrik; and his mother, Georgette. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Robert (Jacqueline) and Gerard (Toyoko); as well as a large extended family, many dear friends and co-workers. Mario was predeceased by his father Jean-Paul and his brother Denis. Mario was born in Hull Quebec and moved to Alberta in 1974. After meeting his beautiful wife, he built their family home where he spent the past 37 years with his loving family. Mario dedicated his entire career to Capital Power, working the last 10 years as a Power Engineer at Genesee. Mario always had a project on the go. He loved his dogs, and travelled as much as possible. Most of all, he loved being surrounded by family and friends. Mario’s jovial, light hearted, good natured attitude will be missed by all who loved him. A service to celebrate Mario’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday July 25, 2016 at the Elks Hall, 400 Diamond Ave, Spruce Grove. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kids With Cancer Society.
