Aunty Maureen was a gentle soul with a heart full of kindness who loved her Lord and Saviour.  She shared a life long bond with her beloved brother Stanley, my father.  Their closeness was a beautiful example of love that endured through decades, their warmth and unwavering support for each other.  Even though an ocean separated them, they set up a weekly schedule for phone calls that accommodated the time difference.  Dad would not miss them, and often shared what they  talked about, family news, their faith, or a sermon Maureen had been listening to on Christian radio.  This contact with both his sisters meant so much to him.    Aunty Maureen wrote  me many beautiful letters, especially when I moved abroad and left my family behind me.  Her cards and  letters were full of wisdom, support and encouragement, she knew what it was to leave family behind and move abroad, and proved God to be her strength and support.  I will be forever grateful for all her prayers and find comfort knowing she is safe in the arms of her precious Saviour who she loved with her whole being.

When Maureen paid a visit to our home in 1988 she was so positive in her remarks and she brought a lovely spirit with her. We had been going through a tough time and she inspired us with her faith and her exuberance.  Her brief visit left us feeling brighter and lighter in spirit. Billy Cooper

Maureen was beloved by her brother Stanley.  He would look forward to her weekly phone calls where they would talk about the love of their Saviour and encourage each other in their faith.  Stanley.  knows that Maureen is now hearing "well done  good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord. Matthew 25 vs 23.

I remember her telling me as a child that your mother our Granny always said, "when the going gets tough, the tough get going."   Aunty Maureen was always interested in us or our families and we knew that we were always in her prayers.  Deborah Cooper (niece)

Thank you for all the loving memories that we have of you. We thank God for you how you have prayed for us, written to us over the many years. We are all comforted in the knowledge that you are now safe in the arms of Jesus and forever in his care.

Thinking of my Aunt and Godmother Maureen who I have fond memories of when I was a wee girl. I remember visiting her in Canada, shelling peas in the garden and eating ice-cream.  I also remember the ice skating bracelet she bought me and the kind letters she sent me showing an interest in my flying career. She was very kind and a great big sister to my mum Edythe who loved her dearly.  May she rest in peace with family. God Bless Auntie Maureen. Sending love xxxx

Have a lovely memory of visiting Aunty Maureen and Uncle John in Winnipeg with my brother Stephen when I was at Bible college in MN.  Also really enjoyed spending time with Aunty Maureen when she came home to visit Ireland.
