With heavy hearts we would like to announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Howell on July 21, 2025 just a few days short of his 92nd birthday.
Bob was born in Weyburn Saskatchewan July 24, 1933. Over his lifetime he did many different things including being a long-haul truck driver and had worked for the County of Parkland where he maintained county parks and laid cross country ski tracks. For many years Bob and his wife Elaine had a cottage industry where they created beautiful bird houses, mailboxes, wooden toys and a number of other things. Bob particularly enjoyed this as he was able to design and build, then go to markets to sell his creations and talk with his loyal customers.
Bob was predeceased by his wife Elaine and his son Grant. He leaves behind his daughter Margaret (Rod) and grandchildren Raquel, Reid, Clayton and Jason.
Bob will be remembered as someone who always had a smile, quick wit, ready with a story and was always willing to discuss current events with his coffee buddies.
Memorial Service will be held August 1st at 2:00pm at the Parkland Funeral Services, 3502 44 Avenue, Stony Plain.
Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in his name.
