Violet Margaret Peppiatt

Violet’s mother, Ruth, passed away while Violet was an infant. She was raised by her Uncle Dan and Aunt Elsie Thomas until her father remarried Angela Frey in 1939 where she grew up on the farm north of Josephburg.

Violet married Neil Bailey in October of 1952 and they raised 6 children; Dennis, Jane, Connie, Bill, George and Fay. In 1967 Violet and Neil moved to Chilliwack, B.C. They divorced in 1977.

In 1981 she married William David Peppiatt  in Josephburg, AB  bringing into the marriage 2 children Ed and Marie. They lived in Sardis until 1993 when they moved to Alberta.

Violet was predeceased by her parents; both of her husbands; brother Earl; son Bill Bailey and his wife Wanda and son-in-law Jim Prost.

Violet will be lovingly missed by her 7 children Dennis (Gaye), Jane (James), Connie, George (Brenda) Fay (Gordon), Ed (Barbara) and Marie.  21 Grandchildren, 38 Great-Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

A viewing for Violet will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Josephburg Community Church, 21380 Township Road 550, Josephburg, AB T8L 4B8. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, 21380 Township Road 550, Josephburg, AB T8L 4B8. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 2:45 PM to 3:30 PM at Josephburg Cemetery, 21380 Township Road 550, Josephburg, AB T8L 4B8.
