

Warren will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Diane; his children: Heather (Brian), Debbie (Dorlyn) and Cyndi (Jeff); his stepchildren: Saunda, Wanda, Bonita, Mitchell (Cristita) and Melanie; his grandchildren: Katie, Tabatha, Tessa, Josie, Emilie, Mason and Channing; his step-grandchildren: Cameron, Joel, Byron, Cassidy, Dustin, Leah, Nikki, Chantal, Davin, Natasha, Jordi, Colby and Faith; 13 great-grandchildren; 21 great-step-grandchildren as well numerous dear extended family members and friends.
Warren was predeceased by his parents, Doris and Earnest and his stepbrother, Ken.
Warren was born in Ottawa, Ontario on March 5, 1933 and married Tessa Anne Hughes in May of 1957. They built their home together from the ground up on 120 acres and called their home “The Little Brown House.” Warren often said he was doubly blessed to have had the opportunity to have two beautiful wives in his lifetime.
Warren’s occupation was drafting Marine Charts before he entered The Canadian Hydrographic Service and retired after 18 years.
Warren also became a freelance writer, of mainly outdoor articles on hunting and angling. His personal interests were taxidermy, sketching and carving native fish species. Warren became a member of a carving group called Fish Carving Two where he earned a few ribbons in the United States at the semi-annual fish carving shows sponsored by Breakthrough Magazine.
Warren’s passion for the outdoors continued throughout his life, with hunting and fishing something he would do as every opportunity presented itself. In the past 8 years, Warren began writing books and short stories and published his first book, Through the Eyes of Eagles, in 2013.
Warren and his wife, Diane loved watching professional hockey (NHL), listening to music and taking walks together around Stony Plain. Their walks often led them to the ice cream shop for a sweet treat which was a favorite of Warren’s.
Warren and Diane lived happily in Stony Plain, Alberta throughout their married life.
A Memorial Service for Warren will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the Lighthouse Church, 49 Boulder Blvd, Stony Plain, AB with Pastor Archie Binnie officiating. Cremation has taken place.
