With thankfulness for his life, it is with great sadness that the family announces Bill’s passing on January 10, 2012. Bill spent many years working in the oil and gas industry in the Drayton Valley area prior to moving to Botha, Alberta and operating the local General Store there. Shortly after the passing of his wife Ida, he moved to Stony Plain to be closer to his daughter, Lisa, and he spent his retirement years driving his grandkids to swimming, playschool and dance and enjoying time with family.
Bill is survived by his daughter Lisa Cross and his three grandkids: Brittany, Ryan and Brookie Morgan all of Stony Plain, Alberta; his brother Chester Cross (Anne) of Calgary, Alberta; his brother-in-law Ted Christiansen of Consort, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Ida Cross and son Grant Cross, sisters Ruth and Gert and brother Bob.
