

Edith L. Jackson of Stony Point, NY former resident of New Windsor, NY has peacefully passed away at home on January 27, 2017. The daughter of the late William and Ethel Cole-Hatchard she was born on March 27, 1928 at home in Garnerville, NY. She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy and her two brothers George and Douglas. One of her greatest accomplishments was when she graduated from BOCES as a LPN. In her later years she worked at Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River as a packer and made some very close friends. As a beautiful young woman she had a double wedding and married Howard O'Dell and they had their daughters Karen and Sandra. In later years she married Burel Jackson and was blessed with their son Brian. During this time she lived in West Nyack, NY in a beautiful home built by Burel which became the place each one of us called home.
We all had very many beautiful, happy, joyous, fond memories that all came from the one person who held us together, which was our matriarch. Edith is survived by her amazing daughter Karen Romero and her husband Dmitri of New Windsor, NY, granddaughter Melanie Sherwood husband William and great grandchildren Trinity, Trista and Teaghan; grandson Allen Murdock wife Nicole and great grandchildren Alyssa, Deanna and Andrew. She left behind her loving daughter Sandra Garigali husband Frank of Stony Point, NY, granddaughter Brittany Peters husband Matthew and great grandchildren Rory, Ginny, Matty and Henry; granddaughter Sabrina. She also left behind her adored son Brian Jackson of New Windsor, NY and grandson Daniel and granddaughter Victoria. She also left behind Joyce Casscles and Marsh Hurley who were thought of as her daughters and truly loved . She will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and countless family members and friends. She will be dearly remembered as the glue that held us together , the one that taught us all what family truly is and how we should love each and everyone , for this we thank you. XXXXOOOO
