Ruthann was born March 6, 1947 to the late Francis Melia and Helen Burke in New York City. Since moving to Stony Point in her twenties, Ruthann was an active member of her community working for the Stony Point Police Department for over 40 years and years of countless service to the Stony Point Volunteer Ambulance Corp. and as a long time member of Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point. She was also doll collector and an avid knitter. Countless children have been blessed with the beautiful blankets and hats she made through the years. She was a loving friend, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two sons Timothy Trimble and his wife Tina; Brian Trimble and his wife Sharon and her beloved grandson Jonathan Trimble along with many close friends and family she held dear. She will be missed by the many who knew her.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, a charity close to Ruthann’s heart.
