

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Stewart had previously lived in Berkley, Michigan before relocating to Manistee, Michigan and Stuart, Florida in 1991.
He was an engineer for the Ford Motor Company in Detroit, Romeo, and Troy, Michigan for thirty-five years.
Mr. Stewart was a member of 1st United Methodist Church of Stuart, and loved to golf, bowl, and fish. He coached youth hockey as well.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served our country during World War II. Mr. Stewart was also a member of the VFW Post in Berkley, MI.
He is lovingly survived by his wife of 64 years, Mae of Stuart, Florida; daughter, Nancy Danielson (Brent) of Stuart, FL; son, Alexander III of Berkley, MI; daughter, Cynthia Hobart of Manistee, MI; son, Paul (Darcie) of Manistee, MI; six grandchildren, Daven Danielson, Megan Danielson, Duane Hobart, April Hobart, Cayla Stewart, and Ian Stewart; four great grandchildren, Brittney, Brenton, Bradley and Brianna Danielson; and sisters, Morag Buchanan, Jean McDonald, and Nancy Turnbull.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Karen Stewart and son, Daniel Stewart.
A Gathering of Friends will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart, Florida.
