

Arden Dunning Gardner, 74, died July 16, 2014 at home in her Port Saint Lucie. Arden was born December 2, 1939, in New Haven, Connecticut. Arden is the daughter of the late Whitney Carlisle Dunning and Dorothy Pouch Welch.
She lived in many different places throughout the States -- including Germany as she traveled with the family, when her husband served in the USAF as a fighter pilot. Her greatest joy and happiness was spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed scrapbooking where she was creating masterpieces for her twin grandsons to bring happy memories that will live on through her creations. She was a member of the Treasure Coast 56ers, serving as the President and past Vice President. Arden was also the Manager of Bonnie’s Hallmark where she opened the store in the Treasure Coast Mall, retiring after serving for more than 25 years.
In addition to raising three children while traveling around the world, she worked for Norwegian Cruise Lines, a Realtor for Century 21, Manager for Round the World Reflections, Manager for Jake’s Restaurant, Manager for Bonnie’s Hallmark and she was currently working at Texas Lone Star Auto Auction. In her spare time she enjoyed volunteering at Jensen Beach High School where she was recognized as the adult Volunteer of the Year. Arden will be especially remembered for her love and passion for others, quick wit, sense of humor, spirit of adventure, and the drive that allowed her to succeed in many diverse endeavors.
Arden is survived by her three children; her daughter, Ginger (Kenneth) Featherstone of Jensen Beach, Florida and their twin sons Logan and Austin; her son, Brett (Dorothy) Gardner of Hendersonville, Tennessee and their three daughters Laura, Amy and Sarah; her son Darrell (Nicolette) Gardner of Anaheim Hills, California and their three sons Blake, Ryan, and Dylan; her brother Jeffrey (Sandy) Dunning of Plano, Texas and their three children Jeffery Jr., Michelle and Andy; and her very best friend Paulina (Jeffery) Smodish of Port Saint Lucie, Florida.
Services to celebrate her life will be Tuesday July 22, 2014 with visitation from 3:00-4:00 PM and a Memorial Service at 4:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart.
