She was a devoted Christian, faithful member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Binghamton, and worked voluntarily in the church office there.
Her true pleasure came from raising her family and caring for her husband. When at home they shared a common enjoyment of tackling 5000 piece jigsaw puzzles, entertaining friends and made every effort to keep current with technology. They purchased a Nintendo with the purpose of playing games with their granddaughters, and proceeded to laptops, IPads and cell phones. In the last month before her death, Barbara was still e-paying her bills and checking in with her friends on Facebook.
In retirement, they travelled the country; vacationing, visiting friends and sight-seeing. Later in life she and her husband moved to Hobe Sound FL to enjoy warmer weather and the proximity of her brother and family in that area. She was a member of the Hobe Sound Bible Church, and enjoyed their services and music.
Visitation will be at Aycock Funeral Home Young and Prill Chapel, 6801 SE Federal Highway Stuart, Fl on Wednesday November 23, from 6:00-7:00pm with a brief service to follow. A private interment will be held in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, NY at a later date.
