Barbara Ann Windham

Barbara Ann Windham, beloved Mother, Grandmother, sister, and friend, died peacefully on Friday, August 15th at the age of 85 on a beautiful summer day. She was comfortable at home and surrounded by love in her final moments.

Born on January 3, 1940 in New Rochelle, New York, Barbara lived a life rooted in kindness and devotion to her family, friends and her community. She was the daughter of Beatrice and David Kirschenbaum, sister to Joan Kirschenbaum Cohn, John Kirschenbaum Cohn and brother to Russell Kirschenbaum, Mother to Andrew and Donald, and grandmother to Jake, Casey and Justin Weidenfeld.

Barbara was married to Dani Marr and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished traditions. They lived a life of adventure and intention, something we all strive for.

Barbara is predeceased by her son Donald, brother Russell and wife Dani earlier in 2025.

Known for her kind heart, generosity, and love of golf and gardening, Barbara touched countless lives simply through the warmth of her presence. She left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her right up to the very end where her care team, Ann and Clo, loved and cherished every moment with her.

A celebration of Life will be held for Barbara and Dani in October at the home in Hobe Sound, Florida. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Barbara's life and honor the love and light she shared with so many. Please contact the family for further details.

The family invites friends and loved ones to send flowers in celebration of Barbara and Dani's life together. After the service, the flowers will be donated to the Hobe Sound community in her honor.

Additionally, any monetary donations may also be made in Barbara's name to Planned Parenthood or Experience Camps.

Barbara Ann Windham will be remembered for her unwavering love, gentle spirit and the legacy of kindness she leaves behind. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
