Its been over 3 years. I have 2 babies now. I wish you could have been here to meet them. I miss you.

To the families of Connor Soucy,

     May God give you all strength at this time and to keep his memories close at heart and he will be with you forever. I am truly sorry for your loss. I met Connor just once when I had a BBQ here for my brothers 50th birthday in the backyard. He was shy then and sat on the stairs. I remember sitting and talking with him to make him feel more welcome.  He was about 7 years old and so cute! Hugss to all and especially to his Parents and Grandparents and his fiance.  May God get you through this difficult time. RIP Connor. What you love on earth will be in your heaven, so there will be many video games to play with all the ones who have gone before you. I remember when Connor used to come over to my uncles house and we would go for walks or we would always compete against each other playing video games . Always on that game boy . He was the one who taught me how to use it .. I remeber he even used to bake cookies with me when we were younger . He was my cousin but to me growing up he was one of my closest friends .. I even remember our conversation about him moving to Florida .. my biggest regret is that I didn’t keep in touch  .. Connor was kind , friendly and so sweet he always had a smile on his face ! May he RIP we all miss and love you !!

We have had the blessing of a lot of great memories with our nephew, Connor.  We lived in each other’s backyard for many years and when we moved to Georgia, Connor often visited.  Our most favorite memory will always be Christmas, 2010,  when he came up with his grandparents and cousin, Diamond.  Christmas Eve, we gave all of the kids their own pizza crust to make their favorite homemade pizzas.  We enjoyed that meal with Memere & Pepere.  Then-we prayed for snow for these FL kids and wouldn’t ya know-it snowed on Christmas Day!  (Hadn’t before and hasn’t since snowed on Christmas in the 13 years we have lived here).  We had an amazing day playing in the snow!  Then, Memere & Pepere went home for a nap and the kids stayed with us (Uncle Ricky, Aunt Gina, cousins Tommy & Brandon) and we played some more.  The snow kept piling up and that night, we lost power.  Memere & Pepere couldn’t get back to our house for a formal Christmas dinner and we didn’t have power to cook it, anyways.  So, we had a Christmas Cereal dinner-by candlelight.  After, the kids went to the basement playroom to play games by the fireplace (Twister mainly) and we had a sleepover!  BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!  My heart is heavy at this precious, beautiful boy’s loss.  Our prayers are focused on his parents, Cindy & Brian and sister, Ashley and her children.  His grandparents and his girlfriend and all of his family and friends.

Try and hold on to the memories for peace and comfort, lean on your friends and family to get through the difficult days, and always remember our family is praying for you and your family.

From  childhood to manhood Connor was always filled with love and compassion for everyone. We could not have asked for a better grandson and he will always dwell in our hearts. May God give all who loved him the strength to carry on.

My biggest regret, is not getting to know him better. I wish I was able to spend more time with him. However I do not to focus on that. I remember well when he came to visit, and he'd  devour me playing video games. The joy and laughter he had, to be the victor. I will never forget these precious moments. In times like these I think it is most important to focus only  on the happiness, joy, and love he has left in our hearts, and to share this love with his family and friends also in mourning.  My dearest sympathy goes out to all who where close to him. I will always hold his presence here on earth  close to my heart. May his love carry on.
