Daniel Mastrangelo, 79, of Hobe Sound, FL passed away peacefully at Jupiter Medical Center on November 24th, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Michael and Florence Mastrangelo. He was very proud to be a second generation Italian American.

Dan was predeceased in death by his parents; his sister Emily Pelegrini; two uncles Nick and Ralph.

Dan married his beloved wife, Joan in 1987 and they shared 36 beautiful years together. He is survived by his children Darcy Mastrangelo, Dena Mastrangelo (Brian Crouse) and Michael Mastrangelo (Isabel Lopes). He also leaves grandsons, Nico, Matreyo, Jackson and Azario. Dan’s family meant the world to him. In addition he leaves his nephew Larry Pelegrini and niece Linda Orisino. Also brother-in-laws Cam Albert, Bob Cyr and sister-in-law Pat Albert. Many nieces, nephews and friends. Also very important were his very special dogs, the late Mimi and his current companion Sophie who he adored.

During his high school years Dan attended a technical school and learned drafting. He was a distribution manager for Eli Lilly and Company for 28 years before retiring in 1993. He was blessed to have retired at a young age.

He and Joan then traveled extensively sharing many wonderful memories around the world, making new friends all along the way. Living in Florida, cruising quickly became a favorite and they shared many together and with family and friends.

Dan was the last of the true gentlemen of this world. For those he loved, he loved passionately. His favorite pastimes were bird watching, travel, being by the ocean, fishing and golfing with his friends and family. He was a nature lover and so enjoyed traveling to the National Parks across the country.

Dan loved cooking, food and wine. He especially loved bringing his family and friends together around the table. He was a jokester with quick wit and a great sense of humor.
