

Darwin is survived by his two children, Cynthia Bailey and Stephen Dickinson, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Harriet Dickinson, his wife of 55 years previous passed in 2000. His sister Dorothy Stotts and Dayle Dickinson are both previously deceased. One grandchild is also previously deceased.
Darwin is a graduate of Lash High School in Zanesville, Ohio, and the Meredith Business College in Zanesville, Ohio. He retired from the Ohio Power Company where he worked at the Philo Generating Plant, the Beverly Generating Plant and the District Office in Zanesville, Ohio in various positions after he returned from World War II until his retirement in 1986.
Darwin is a veteran having served in the Army Air Corps in India during World War II, and is a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
Two of Darwin’s hobbies included fishing and golf. He fished locally in Ohio and enjoyed many trips to Canada pursuing the illusive Walleye, with great success. He enjoyed golfing as various courses in Florida with his wife and his son, and played in several golf leagues at the Martin County Golf Course in Stuart, Florida where he was a member.
Darwin could be seen at the Community Center in his home community of Duckwood at the BINGO game every Wednesday night with his daughter and played in the community bocce league there.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 12:00 pm, and a Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm, at Aycock Funeral Home Young & Prill Chapel, 6801 SE Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, Florida.
