Dorothy Mcallister

Mrs. McAllister is predeceased by her husband, Floyd; her infant daughter, Dorothy Jean, grandson, Shayne McAllister, great grandson, Patrick Appleton, sister, M. Agnes Spooner and brother, Lloyd H. Smith.

She had lived in Indiantown since 1952, moving from Blountstown, FL. Prior to retirement in 1991, Dorothy was the bookkeeper for Warfield Elementary School in Indiantown for 30 years. Mrs. McAllister was a member of Indiantown Baptist Church for more than 50 years.

Survivors include a brother, John A. Smith of Tallahassee, FL; daughters, Charolette Byrd and her husband, Bartley of Marianna, FL; Janet McAllister and Sandra Waldron and her husband, Morris, both of Stuart, FL; and a son, Tony McAllister and his wife, Susan of Indiantown, FL.

She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Angie Appleton of Palm City; Marsha Powers of Stuart, FL; Ryan Grimsdale of Salerno, FL; LeAnn Waldron DeCesare of Tropical Farms, FL; Shaun McAllister of Jensen Beach, FL; Amanda Cleary of Indiantown: Sheri Byrd of Marianna, FL: Glenn Waldron of Palm City, FL; Beth Medley of Marianna, FL. and 19 great grandchildren.

Friends and Family may call Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart, Florida. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart with interment to follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart.
