Born in Cohasset County, MN, he lived in Indiantown, FL for ten years, coming from Aurora, CO.
Before retiring, Mr. Porter was a Coatings Engineer for Valspar Paint in Denver, CO for 22 years.
He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He attended the Church of Latter Day Saints and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Merna Porter of Indiantown, FL; sons, Adam Porter of Indiantown, FL; David and Julie Porter of Lake Worth, FL; 5 grandchildren, Cole, Angela, John, Krystal and Veronica.
A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, July 1, 2013 at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
