Play golf. If you don’t already play golf, start now. Be sure to tell everyone you meet or run into at the grocery store how it is the best game ever created, and then insist they also start playing golf.
Eat ice cream, at least once a day, ideally a large amount, straight out of the carton. Your future 80+ year old body will thank you for all the extra calcium when you fall.
Enjoy a scotch (preferably Pinch because the bottle looks cool), or fish-bowl-sized margarita daily. Make sure to follow the ice cream rule above if you have more than one.
Pick up as much random trash as you can when you are out walking. Carry it to the nearest trash can, even if that is pretty far away. Consider it exercise.
Sit on the floor and actively play with your kids and grandkids. Also make them practice Stop, Drop and Roll, should they ever catch on fire.
Insist that your pre-teen and teens read, “I’m Okay, You’re Okay”, a psychology book about transactional analysis, so they can understand themselves and others better.
In social settings, seek out the person who is difficult to get along with, or isn’t fitting in. Invite them to join you, even if others don’t want that, as they often need friendship more than anyone else.
Walk into a restaurant with and buy a hot meal for someone who is homeless.
Host a whiffle ball game regularly for all of the kids in your neighborhood. Be designated all-time pitcher. Stop the game frequently to teach proper batting and throwing form.
Laugh and smile a lot.
Be an active listener. Everyone’s favorite subject is themself.
Be patient and positive. Always.
Trust everyone because you see their good.
