

John Arthur Romanelli, Jr, 81, of Hobe Sound, Florida, died peacefully, surrounded by family on January 2, 2026, at Treasure Coast Hospice. John was born February 5, 1944, in Darby, Pennsylvania, to John and Sundella (Valerio) Romanelli. He attended Monsignor Bonner High School in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. He continued his education at Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania, prior to entering the Air Force in 1964, where he served for four years. He then resumed his education at Villanova, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree at night, while he worked during the day. He completed his education by receiving his Master’s Degree from Villanova in accounting. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and watching Villanova basketball. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Anita (Trimarco) Romanelli of Hobe Sound; his three children and their spouses; John and Peggy (Schulz), Deana-Marie and Paul Taverna and Billy and Daphne (Fitzgerald); his brothers and their spouses, Joe and Louise, Angelo and Martha and Bob and Tina; his grandchildren Jason, Gino, Avamarie, Tony, Vinnie, Cris, Penelope and Paolo, and great granddaughter, Luna. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sundella Romanelli. Arrangements will be determined at a future date.
