A retired Navy Veteran and State Farm Insurance Agent for 42 years. Loved fishing, hunting, family sporting events and gatherings, boating, golfing, playing cards and cooking. His favorite songs were, Andrea Bocelli, Time to Say Goodbye, On Eagles Wings and Hallelujah.
John honored and appreciated every person in his life. With John, we felt valued, special and loved. He had four children, twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild and he loved each of them the most. He was a loyal and faithful person and every friend he had remained a lifelong friend.
He didn’t care to always be right because he knew and believed Isaiah 55:8: "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.”
John had a tender heart. When people expressed hardships, he let them talk and he listened with sincere empathy and he cried with them. If someone experienced a victory, he celebrated with them and cried for joy. Throughout the years, he earnestly prayed for people with Connie and others.
John loved God, exercised his faith and cherished his family. He was a person of integrity who had the courage of his convictions to speak the truth and stand up against injustices. He made an indelible mark in our hearts and life will never be the same without him. He will always be greatly missed and loved by his family and friends.
In 2 Timothy 4:7, Paul wrote, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Now John’s suffering is over and he’s safely home in Heaven with Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior, family members and friends. We thank God that now he’s living in perfect joy, beauty and the everlasting light of the Lord in Eternity.
