Marie E Roberts

She was born in Camden, NJ, the daughter of the late Paul and Joyce Cuneo. Marie moved to Stuart, FL in 1974. She was an original member of the North River Shores Tennis Club, spending many of her best days in competitive play with her tennis family. She also enjoyed traveling and playing cards with her family and the many close friends she leaves behind in the Stuart area. She was devoted to her children and doted on her grandchildren. She was a lifelong Elvis fan. During her time in Stuart, she had a rewarding 27-year career as Association Manager for the Florida Golf Course Superintendents Association, retiring in 2011.

Marie is survived by her sisters, Joan Curry of Indiana and Chris Cusato of New Jersey; brother, Michael Cuneo of New Jersey; daughters, Colleen and husband Terry Patterson of South Carolina; Suzanne and husband Bill Turner of Florida; son, Mark and wife Megan Roberts of Florida; grandchildren, Taylor Patterson, Michael Patterson, Shannon Patterson, Hayden Turner and Jackson Turner.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday September 1, 2017 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Aycock Funeral home in Stuart, FL, with a special time for remembrances to begin at 5:00PM. A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, September 2, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stuart, FL.

In lieu of flowers, those wanting to remember Marie are asked to make donations to the Golden Corner Respite Care Program of the Alzheimer’s Association Organization of South Carolina, care of Jamie Guay, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5850, Greenville, SC 29601.
