Patricia Ann Carey

Patricia “Pattie” Ann Carey, 64, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on May 17, 2025. Born in Newark, New Jersey on February 4, 1961, she was the beloved daughter of the late Donald and Kathleen Carey. Pattie had made Stuart her home for the past nine years, where she built a life surrounded by sunshine, family, and the animals she adored.

In addition to her parents, Pattie was preceded in death by her brother, Donald J. Carey Jr.

Pattie had a lifelong love for animals, a passion that followed her wherever she went — from growing up in New Jersey, moving to California and the time she spent in New Mexico, where she especially cherished visiting a local wolf sanctuary. Her kind heart and gentle spirit extended not only to animals but to everyone lucky enough to know her.

She is survived by her three children: her daughter, Trisha Marie Fay Carey of San Jose, California; her son, Alexander Jonathan Lang of Stuart, Florida; and her youngest son, Eric James Lang of Murrieta, California. Pattie is also survived by her devoted sisters, Kathleen D. Carey and Eileen Carey, both of Stuart, Florida.

Pattie was a bright light in the community. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends and in the lives she touched with kindness, laughter, and love.

A celebration of Pattie’s life will be announced by the family at a later date.
