Peter J. Regan, 78, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in Stuart, FL. “Love’s fire heats water/Water cools not love.” He is survived by his beloved wife, Julie Agnes Regan; sons John, James and daughters Katey and Kimberly; sisters Ann and Maureen (deceased); grandchildren Grace, Zac, Ethan, Alivia and Bryce; cousins, friends, neighbors and his parents, Mary Murphy and Walter Arthur Regan.
Peter J. Regan, who grew up in Lawrence, Massachusetts, had a long career as a financial Advisor and world marketing consultant. A proven creative strategic planner and innovative problem solver with multi-industry and cultural exposure ready to assume a chief executive officer. He became a CPA with his Harvard Business Advances management education and 40 year experience in banking. He never gave up his ambition.
Peter was affiliated with the Reagan Government Administration. His job was to rescue Ford, Chrysler, Boston Shipyard, Boston Wang Theater Center.
Reserve governors individually applauded the great success that he had over the years.
Turning around struggling companies, starting up new ventures, negotiating complex agreements, creating new products, understanding international business cultures, financing, negotiation and access. He never lost his passion of continuing affiliation with charitable interests domestically or overseas.
Peter had a deep respect for our country, the men and women served and for rest of his life he adored people of Ireland and telling his family and friends the stories of his life. Always looking for and move that would leave him up one at the days end. He felt something or someone watched over him protecting him from himself and others-forming a Man.
After he retired, Peter wrote a book entitled, “Forming a Man,” a biography. It has yet to be published but in 300 pages he devoted himself to understanding of religious teaching and the world history of Christianity. He spent more time in Cape Cod Hyannis and Hobe Sound, FL.
Peter was a big Red Sox fan, Notre Dame football and all sports around Boston. As a young kid he ws a boxer and wanted to be as strong as Cinderella man.
I have lost an extraordinary husband, his confidence, his humor and his persistence. Peter is unforgettable who was known to be always generous toward his friends as well as those less fortunate than himself.
