Peter M Sanchez

Peter Martin Sanchez, 86, of Hobe Sound, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at his home. Born February 26, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Richard and Estelle (nee Ryan) Sanchez. Peter served in the United States Army, he enlisted right out of high school as World War II was ending. He completed his first military service and was called back to serve a second time during the Korean Conflict. His professional career was spent in the banking and finance industries and he retired from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, FDIC, in 1994. He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church of Hobe Sound. Peter was a long time member of the Martin County Sportman's Association. a former golfer and an avid reader. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lucille; daughter, Dona Elizabeth Squeri and husband, Joseph of Bethesda, MD; grandchildren, Julia Squeri and Joseph “Joey” Squeri, Jr. Peter was preceded in death by his brother, Richard and sisters, Joan Johnson and Patricia Tatum. Mass will be 11:30 AM, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound.
