Robert McGarvey of Hobe Sound Florida was called home on July 25, 2020. He lived a rich and full life before the onset of COVID 19. He was 89 years old plus. Robert leaves behind his loving wife Jackie of 22 years, his 7 children and their spouses. He was PopPop to 12 grandchildren and great grandfather to 4. He also had an extended family of 3 boys, their spouses and 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Grace, his grandson Keith Hyman, sister Carol and Jackie’s sister Loree.
Robert served his country in the Air Force. He worked and retired from the Telephone Company as a Planning Engineer.
Robert along with his wife Jackie loved to travel and made it their mission to visit all the families which are great in number. His favorite thing to do was to plan those trips along with many other places around the world.
Robert loved a good party and liked to dance.
He was a devout Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus; and a life-long die hard Yankee fan.
He loved us all deeply and was loved deeply in return.
Robert will be sorely missed.
As the angels carry him home to his final resting place, we are sure he will be in good company.
Services will be Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Aycock Funeral Home Young & Prill Chapel, 6801 SE Federal Highway, Stuart, Florida
Mass at St Christopher's Catholic Church, 12001 SE Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, Florida, Friday, July 31. 2020 at 4:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a future date on Long Island NY.
