Born in Newark, Ohio, he moved to Florida in 1975. He was a greens keeper for many years and was most recently involved in the installation and repair of natural gas pipelines. Roy was an avid fisherman. He loved to golf and play basketball, cook, take photos, and was a huge fan of music. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his impeccable green thumb.
Survivors include his son, James David Leslie (Jacqueline) of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter, Jennifer Ann Leslie-Matthews (Darren) of Port St. Lucie, FL; mother Shirley Ann Leslie of Ft Pierce, FL; sister, Cynthia Darwin (Charles) of Jasper, GA; and, his two grandchildren, Memphis and Hendrix.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 4:00-7:00pm at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart, FL with a service on January 6, 2016 at 10:00am followed by a burial at Forest Hills in Palm City, FL.
