Shirley Belle Voris Coats

Shirley was born in Del Norte, Colorado on May 3, 1921 and was just one week short of 100 years old. Shirley passed peacefully into Glory on Monday, April 26,2021 in the afternoon with her daughter, Swan and granddaughter, Kim at her side.

Shirley is survived by her son John Bradford (his wife Julie) and her daughter, Swan Denger (her husband Jay). Shirley is also survived by her many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends, and those she just simply loved.

Shirley had many great accomplishments during her lifetime but mostly she was a gifted teacher. She taught in Miami at Southwest High School and then became a Professor at Miami-Dade Community College So. where she taught business Sciences and ushered in the Computer age.

Shirley was married to the love of her life Jim (James B Coats) for 74 years. Shirley found the last 5 years very difficult without her partner. But now they are together again!
