Therese married Alvin on November 28, 1946. They lived in Milwaukee until 1990. Therese worked various jobs throughout the years, her favorite was as a Crossing Guard for the city of Milwaukee. They moved to St. Lucie Falls community in Stuart, Florida in 1990. Therese was an active member in the community. She and Alvin co-chaired the Christmas Families group for over 10 years. She was also a member of the quilting group that met on Mondays in the clubhouse. While in this group she made close to 100 quilts for charity. She loved to make quilts for children because she felt every child needs to have a blankie!
In Stuart, she was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. She moved to Lake Worth, Florida in 2018 to live with her daughter, Michelle.
Therese always loved learning new things. She and Alvin went to many elder hostels within the United States. She always came home with stories of new learning experiences and new friends they had met. Although she was born long before most technology, she tried to keep up with it. She even had a Facebook page!
