Born in Yonkers, New York, Thomas had previously lived in Carmel, NY before moving to the Hobe Sound, FL area over 20 years ago.
He was a boat craftsman for Rybovich in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He loved boats, the ocean, his job, and always took great pride in his work. Thomas was a sports enthusiast and remained a loyal Yankees, Giants, Seminoles and USF Bulls fan. His other interests included classic cars and antique furniture refinishing.
Thomas was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound, FL.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Rita Barnaby of Hobe Sound, FL; his daughters, Kate Barnaby of Miami, FL; Taylor Barnaby of Chicago, IL; sister Barbara McKeever of Peekskill, NY; sister-in-law Rose Cipillone of Peekskill, NY; brother Michael Barnaby of North Fort Myers, FL; brother John Barnaby of Rome, NY; sister-in-law Diane Ridley of Jupiter, FL; brother-in-law Matthew Ridley of Jupiter, FL; brother-in-law Ed Sangalli of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law Margaret Sangalli of Phoenix, AZ.
Thomas was a gift beyond compare to family and friends, whose presence will be sorely missed. He was a devoted husband and father, who although unseen, will still walk lovingly beside his wife and daughters every day of their lives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 10:00AM at St. Christopher Catholic Church with a Celebration of Life to immediately follow at the Pirate's Loft in Stuart.
