He was born February 2, 1944, in Omaha, NE, the son of the late Lake and Evelyn (Galusha) Pine. He grew up in Northern California and Reno, NV, before joining the US Navy. After his enlistment was up, he re-enlisted in the Air Force/NV Air National Guard and continued his career in military logistics by working for the Department of the US Army as a Civil Servant and retiring 30 years later as a GM-13.
Bill was the loving husband of the late Antoinette Pine and is survived by sons, Corey of Jupiter and David of Fayetteville, NC; a daughter, Nancy of Enterprise, OR; grandsons, Jon Pine of Philadelphia ,PA, Anthony Pine of Fayetteville, NC and Kyle Mclauchlin of California; He was predeceased by his son, Ed Pine.
He was a Boston Red Sox fan and cared a great deal for his Jack Russell terrier mix, Sadie. He enjoyed making new friends at the Tequesta American Legion, where he will be sadly missed.
A Celebration of Bill's Life will be planned in the coming months to accommodate the travel needs of family and friends far and wide.
