Charles Letcher Strickler, 85, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2019 at Monroe Health and Rehabilitation Center in Charlottesville.
He was born April 17, 1933 to the late Ernest Harold and Ruby (Maiden) Strickler.
Charles was a member of the last graduating class of McGaheysville High School in 1950.
He faithfully served his country in the United States Army, was a member of Stuarts Draft Baptist Church and retired from the former GE/Genicom where he served as Vice President of the local union.
Survivors include his children, Kathryn Lynn Strickler and Stuart Strickler; brother, John Strickler and wife, Anita; granddaughter, Kaylee Nicole Frank and husband, Ashton; nieces, Christy Moran, Lori Bocock and Kim Rishell; nephew, Jeff Strickler.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Stuarts Draft Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. William Kopp officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
