David Wayne Herron

David Wayne Herron, 55, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Thursday October 24, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Herron was born on July 20, 1958 in Waynesboro, and was the son of the late Katie Herron. David served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve for four years. After serving in the military, David was a career truck driver. In his spare time, Mr. Herron was an avid golfer. He always enjoyed working on car and truck engines and enjoyed riding motorcycles. He had a great fondness of animals, and called himself “King David of Micro Mont.” He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Herron.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Herron is survived by two sons, Dylan and Wyatt Herron; a daughter, Allison Herron; one granddaughter, Maylee Jade Herron; his two best friends, Mike Loan and Brian Cadle; and a special cousin Anita Kay

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday October 26, 2013 at 3 PM at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
