Edna Small Boggs

She was born October 12, 1914 in Deboard, KY, a daughter of the late William and Margaret Small.

She was preceded in death by infant daughter, Nellie Boggs and daughter, Stella Judy; two sons, Curtis Boggs and Daniel “Morris” Boggs; grandson, Chad Woodson; great-grandson, Devin Judy.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting. Edna was a loving mother of ten children, grandmother of 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and ten great great-grandchildren. She attended Marlbrook Baptist Church and was blessed with a long life and truly will be missed.

Surviving is six of her children, Joyce Kiser of Pound, Va., Loretta Warner and husband, Don of Manassas, Va., Donnie Boggs and wife, Cindy of Broad Run, Va., Paul Boggs and wife, Virginia of Front Royal, Va., Dixie Fletcher and husband, Elden of Raphine, Va., Daisy Woodson and husband, Steve of Stuarts Draft, Va. and daughter-in-law, Margaret “Ann” Boggs of Front Royal, Va.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, with Pastor Larry Wright officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2015 in Boggs Cemetery, Pound, Va. with Clifford Mullins officiating.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dixie and Elden Fletcher for their commitment of longtime care of her. We also would like to thank caregivers, Victor and Pat Shifflett, Susan McDaniels and Melissa Tilly for their loving care of Edna.
