On May 6, 2021, surround by family, Ethel Ferne (Oaks) Weaver, 94, of Stuarts Draft, went home to be with Jesus, the one she faithfully served for many years. Her hand quilted pieces are displayed around the country and gave her life many hours of pleasure. She retired as the manager of the Stuarts Draft High School cafeteria. She also worked in that position at Ladd Elementary School. Ethel was strong in character, integrity and was always helping out with a true servant’s heart. She grew up and lived her whole life in the Mennonite Church, being involved with the startup of the Greenmonte Mennonite Church. Paul and Ethel are members of the Springdale Mennonite Church. Ethel is survived by her husband, Paul Abner Weaver; three daughters, Shirley Lou Mayer (Linwood), Joyce Kay Stoltzfus (Robert), Carolyn Marie Bartley (Bruce); two sons, Roger Dale Weaver (Carolyn), Douglas Paul Weaver (Robin); eleven grandchildren, Troy Mayer (Angela), Robin MacDonald (Garry), Abigail Acker (Nate), Juliann Mazzeo (Joe), Kendal Stoltzfus (Gabriel), Gina Bartley, Elizabeth Dale Weaver, Kaitlyn Weaver, Lydia Bailey (Cory), Jordan Weaver (Christy), Kelsey Dean (Shawn); and 18 great-grandchildren.
