Kevin Mark Fitzgerald

Born February 20, 1962 at Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Kenneth Ray Fitzgerald, Sr. and Mary (Robinson) Fitzgerald.

Kevin was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School Class of 1980 and Radford University. He was currently employed by Alexandria Pest Services where he worked as a certified entomologist for over 30 years. Kevin was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church and the National Wildlife Control Operators Association. As a sports enthusiast, he enjoyed watching basketball, football, hockey, baseball, and soccer games. He was an avid fan of the Washington Commanders, Boston Red Socks, and Duke basketball. Those who knew him best will remember his outgoing personality, his enthusiasm for sports, and his interest in bugs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Terry Marie Fitzgerald.

Survivors include his brother, Kenneth R. “Sonny” Fitzgerald, Jr.; nephew, Colin J. Fitzgerald; two nieces, Jackie M. Fitzgerald and Mary Kate Conner; great-niece, Emmy Lou Conner; cousin, Joyce and Glenn Cummings; close friend, Stephen C. Greene; and numerous friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Mt. Paran Baptist Church, 7140 Irish Creek Road, Montebello, with Pastor James Lundy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
