

Born November 14, 1928 in Getaway, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Waid and Belvey Snyder. Sprig was one of seven children.
Sprig was a member of Sherando United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker full of love for her family and life. She was a woman who was determined to keep some independence in her life. She loved to travel and visit. She quilted and crocheted as long as her health permitted. Sprig will be remembered by her family as a beloved mom, mamaw and great grandmaw.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Raymond Ross; mate of 23 years, Floyd Vaughn.
Survivors include her loving children, Linda Rae Toler and husband, Ronnie of Stuarts Draft and Michael Ross and wife, Ceil of West Virginia; brothers, Ray Snyder, C.L. “Fuzzy” Snyder and wife Juanita; sister, Katheryn Gutjahr and husband, Tom of Illinois; seven loving grandchildren, Ronenia and husband, Jon, Renee and husband, Lane, R.T and wife Tina, Dereck and wife, Dawn all of Stuarts Draft, Michael Joe and wife, Georgia and Steven and Amy all of West Virginia; 17 great-granchildren who thought the world of her; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sprig had very special neighbors, Raymond and Tonya, she considered family and they were always there when she needed them and even brought her supper each night. Their daughter LeeAnne always brought a smile and hug for her granny each day. She will also miss her friend Elwood Fitzgerald who she talked on the phone with and often ate breakfast with at Hardees.
Following cremation, a celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Sherando United Methodist Church with Rev. Clayton Payne officiating.
