Michael Ray Buxton

He was born in Huntington, West Virginia on November 13, 1952, a son of the late Charles Harlan and Dorothy Lee (Jones) Buxton.

He was a graduate of Vinson High School in Huntington, WV and he retired from Hollister of Stuarts Draft.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne (Harris) Buxton; son, Brian Truxell and wife, Alisia; daughters, Amber Benson and husband Jason, Leslie Truxell, Jennifer Wood; brothers, Terry Buxton, Donald Buxton, both of West Virginia; sisters, Ann Tieleman, Kathleen Buxton, both of Florida; grandchildren, Clint Lowry (Sydney McDaniel) Skylar Moore (Nicholas Halterman), Hailey Benson (Lucas Giese), Dylan Truxell, Oakley Truxell, Cheyenne Wood, Gabriel Wood and Makayla Bennett.

Michael is also survived by his father and mother in law, Richard and Shirley Hise.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Elder Jeffrie Williams and Pastor Roscoe Harris officiating.

Burial will follow at White Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Clint Lowry, Dylan Truxell, Brian Truxell, Jason Benson, Nicholas Halterman, Skylar Moore and Lucas Giese.

There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

The family request that casual attire be worn on the day of the service.
