Paula Marie Watkins

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Paul Cook and her husband, Charles Wayland “Chuck” Watkins, Jr.

She is survived by her mother Vicky L. Layne and father Gary A. Layne; her children, Lora Via, Joshua Via, Dorothy Via; sister Pamela Layne; stepson, Brandon Watkins; stepmother Judi Cook; sisters Jenny Fuson (Ricky) Mary Walker (Travis), Holly Harris (Kevin) and Emily Coursey (Benjamin); daughter-in-law Mattie Ferrara; grandchildren Toby Gau, Evelyn Braddock, Emily Bowling and James “Buddy” Bowling.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March15, 2025 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft with Pastor Larry Roberts officiating.

Burial will follow in Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Joshua Via, Toby Gau, Mark Dofflemyer, Tracy Smith, Ben Puckett, John Ferrara, Keith Walker and Bob Conley.

The family will receive friends from10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon on the day of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made to Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
