
Rodger Doyle Bryant, 70, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Thursday October 24, 2013 at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation in Fishersville.
Mr. Bryant was born on April 4, 1943 in Electra, TX and was a son of the late Horace and Billie (Elliott) Bryant. Rodger served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Rodger enjoyed fishing, helping others, traveling, and most of all, his job as a safety consultant
Rodger is survived by his wife of 24 years, Mary P. Bryant.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a son Joe Bryant of Nevada, stepdaughters Donna Brunty and fiancé Sonny Staton, Wanda Coffey and fiancé Eddie Floyd, and Ronda McIntire and husband Riley McIntire. Grandchildren Patchen Beverly, Nadalie Hanna, Darren McIntire, Travis Coffey, Ashley Brunty, Ericka McIntire and Trevor McIntire. Great-grandchildren Kai Hanna, Julia Hanna, Justice Beverly, Unity Beverly, Addison Coffey; sisters, Judy and Bonnie and a brother Leo. In addition to his parents, Rodger was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Joe, and Bill.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday October 30, 2013 at 2 PM, at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 29, 2013 from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
