Born July 29, 1966 in Staunton, she was the daughter of the late John Joseph and Helen Ruth (Wiseman) Huffman.
Teresa attended Stuarts Draft Full Gospel Church. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her family. Teresa was a loving mother, sister, aunt, wife and grandmother. She had a heart of gold and anyone who had met or who had been around her always enjoyed her company. She always kept a smile on anyone and everyone's faces that she was around. Teresa was the biggest believer in God. Not once was she scared of death but only scared to leave behind her loved ones. She made many people believe who never thought of hope and brought so much joy, happiness and life into everyone's hearts. Once was on earth with us, now in heaven with family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Edward Huffman.
Survivors include her loving husband, Ricky Lucas; her children, John Joseph Griffin, Aaron David Griffin, Alissa Marie Mills and Katlynn Nicole Griffin; her children's biological father, John David Griffin; grandsons, Levi David Griffin and Zakkary Noah Griffin; brothers, John Lee Huffman, Roy Steven Huffman, and Gary Eugene Huffman; sisters, Susan Ann Huffman, Sandra Kay Whitten, Velda Gay Hollingsworth, Mary Lynn Neese, and Rebecca Ruth Tomlin; step-daughter, Ashton Pultz; step-grandchildren, Amora, Juda, and Jeremiah; mother-in-law, Dixie Dedrick; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2019 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Hwy, Stuarts Draft.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Old Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 1005 Spottswood Road, Steeles Tavern, Va with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Those who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Roy Steven Huffman, Mary Lynn Neese, John Joseph Griffin, Aaron David Griffin, Katlynn Nicole Griffin and Randy Tomlin.
