Anthony "Tony" Hindley, 88, of Cumberland, RI and Venice, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025.
Born June 5, 1937, in Lincoln, Rhode Island, Tony was devoted to family, business, and community. A graduate of Moses Brown School, Amherst College, and the Wharton School of Business, he served as President of Hindley Manufacturing, proudly continuing his family's third-generation legacy of excellence.
A dedicated Rotarian, Tony exemplified service and leadership in all he did. He was an avid golfer—recording a hole-in-one at age 85—and a passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Travel and time with loved ones brought him great joy.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carol Lundquist Hindley; sons Scott (Adrienne) and Mark (Jennifer); grandchildren Alexandria, Peter, Stephen, John (Elizabeth), Lauren, and Anders; brother Phil (Patricia); and sister-in-law Eunice. He was predeceased by his son Erik and brother Jay.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 11am - 1pm, at Duckett - J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA 01776.
