Carl K Krause

Husband of the late Vivian M. Krause and father to Kathryn Krause of Millis, MA, Mary Recchia and husband Carl of Charlotte, VT, Paul Krause and wife Joanne of Northborough, MA, Peter Krause of Mattapoisett, MA, and Ellen Teplitz and husband Steven of Chevy Chase, MD. He is survived by his grandchildren Kayla Armstrong, Laura Krause, Nicholas Krause, Peter George Krause, Andrew Teplitz, Benjamin Recchia, Matthew Teplitz, and Abby Krause.

Born in Richmond, MI, Carl was the son of the late Wilhelmina and Herman Krause and brother of Doris Fuerstenau, Richmond, MI, and the late Laurence Krause, Margaret Matthews, Della Jasmund, Warner Krause, Marvin Krause, and Gordon Krause.

Carl earned an AB in English from Eastern Michigan University and a master's in Secondary Administration from the University of Michigan. He enjoyed his years as a public school teacher, principal, and superintendent of schools in MI and CT. He later worked as a Training and Personnel Director for Meijer Thrifty Acres in MI, Donaldson's in MN, and Hills Department Stores in MA. Carl loved playing the piano and organ, singing in several choral groups, acting in numerous Dover Foundation plays, tending his plants, and traveling whenever possible. He was a member of the Dover Church for 45 years.

Private services will be held.
